Our Supervisors

Our Supervisors are the backbone of the Therapy practice. They support and guide our team with case discussions, therapeutic concerns, training and capacity building and mentoring.

Mukta Dhavalikar

(RCI registered Clinical Psychologist)

Mukta is a licensed clinical psychologist and has done her MPhil from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kerala and her Master's degree from Fergusson College, Pune. Under the banner of ManoVed centre for Psychological Testing, Psychotherapy and Psychological growth, she runs her own clinical practice, mentors students, and is involved in social awareness initiatives.

 

She also provides consultancy services to schools and is involved in providing holistic care in the health care sector by bringing in a psychosocial aspect to treatment of terminally ill patients. Her research interests include Art based therapies, psycho-oncology and neuropsychology.

Smruti Deshpande

(RCI registered Clinical Psychologist)

Smruti Deshpande is Clinical Psychologist and has completed her MPhil from National Forensic Sciences University. She comes with over 5 years of experience of running an Individual counseling and Psychological testing center in Panchgani, where she has actively worked on spreading awareness about the acute need for Mental Health Services. She has worked extensively in schools providing mental health support and guidance to both students and teachers.

For the last two years, her entire focus has been on clinical cases and she has been working in hospitals in collaboration with psychiatrists in Ahmedabad. Smruti follows an eclectic approach to therapy and believes that there is no set form or solution to every problem and that every individual is unique.

Akshata Parekh

Expressive Arts Therapist and Mental Health Counselor

Akshata Parekh holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University (Boston). She has completed her certification in Queer Affirmative Counseling practice from Mariwala Health Initiative. Akshata also holds a Post graduate Certification in Counseling Psychology from Fergusson College, Pune. Akshata is presently working as an Expressive Arts Therapist at Taal Inc. Art Talks, a drum circle facilitator at Taal Inc., a consulting Expressive Art Therapist with Sahyadri Hospital, Pune along with her private practice. Fulfulling her desire to keep learning and growing, Akshata has also completed an International Diploma in Mental Health, Human Rights, and Law. She believes in the power of arts for health and well-being and her passion is  to spread awareness of the same.

Radha Joshi

Dance Movement Psychotherapist (RDMP-UK)

Radha holds a master’s degree in Dance Movement Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths, University of London. She mainly uses psychodynamic approach in her practice. As a movement psychotherapist, she has worked in schools, charities and mental health hospitals in London. Radha also has a Master’s Degree in Education from Azim Premji University, Bangalore. She has extensively worked in the field of education, in teaching, content development, teacher trainings etc. Her interest is in using creative arts to enhance student well being in educational spaces. Radha being a dancer herself; believes in the crucial role of body and movement in the process of therapy. She wishes to create safe, non-judgemental, inclusive spaces for people to explore themselves and engage in a therapeutic process.

Monika Mande

Psychologist (Clinical)

Monika has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Fergusson College, Pune and a post graduate certificate in Counseling Psychology. She is the Co-founder of Querencia Psychology LLP. Monika is keen on working with adults and teenagers. She majorly applies Humanistic approach in her therapeutic interventions. She has extensive experience in working with cases of Psychopathology and mental illnesses. With her insistence on ethical practice and understanding the need of Continuous Professional development for Therapists, she has further trained in Trauma informed counseling. Monika also holds a certification in Visual Art Therapy facilitation and conducts therapeutic art based workshops. Her aim is to spread awareness to reduce the taboo associated with mental illnesses.
